Hi Mig
ReplyDeletePicked the DVD up at a local shop yesterday and watched it last night. 10 out of 10 and has made me think of the way I paint my models!!!
One small question. Glazes. They are shown in the 'Remember' section and in the basic guide but there is no advise on how to use them or what the result is?
Mike
Thank you very much Mike. I am glad that you like it.
ReplyDeleteWell, the glazes can be used in the same way than the "retarder" with normal Model color.
The glazes dry slow and it allow you make different effects, like a kind of enamels.
If you can check again the RUst chaper, where I mix it with retarder....you can have an idea what I means. Use the glaze in the same way...but of course I recomend you the "retarder".
Please , let me know if you have more doubts.
Thanks
MIG
The preordered DVD reached me last week and is a equally good as your formerly DVD´s.
ReplyDeleteOnly the verbal explanations are spoken a little too quick in my opinion. I didn´t have any problems following as I consider myself as speaking good english, but a few fellow modelers weren´t able to follow at all.
But I think it is more important to "see" what is happening than hearing it.
Overall a very good DVD which I´ve watched several times already.
Soaking in all the details
Thanks for that Mig
Gunnar
P.S.: I envy your chipping skills...
Thank you very much Gunnar, for your feedback. I must agree with you, that the speed in narration is a bit too fast. I agree that maybe not good english speakers can find any problem to follow. Also, as you said, just watching the images you can understand very well what is happening.
ReplyDeleteHowever, I have fixed the speed narration in my next DVD which will be available in 1 or two weeks. Will be slowler and much more clear about this issue.
I really apreciate any feedback, because when I see my own DVD 1 millon times, is hard to find something!
Take care friend...thanks
MIG
You´ve gotta be kidding Mig..."my next DVD which will be available in 1 or two weeks."
ReplyDeleteThat´s great news!!!!
You are very busy man! I like to see you back at the modeling bench.
Thanks for taking care
Gunnar
Thank you Miguel for the DVD was released, soon I'll get this DVD and I can look at with interest your creativity.
ReplyDeleteAs I understand you're going to release another DVD, you can discover the secret that will be in the new DVD, with a theme, technique you're going to share with all modellers of the world?
The DVD is excellent Miguel, well done for taking on such a challenge as to work exclusively in acrylic. Your results were amazing and it should be great fun trying to learn some of these techniques !
ReplyDeleteLove to own it but cant find it on sale here in the US
ReplyDeleteOne of my forum members did a review of your DVD :)
ReplyDeleteI bought one myself. EXCELLENT STUFF!

You don’t explain why you use mix satin or gloss varnish with your base coat, plus you’re saying your air pressure in kilo when in the UK we use Bar or PSI may be an equivalent chart in the book would help.
ReplyDeleteOverall I like the DVD, I will try out some of your methods on my 1/56 RRAC plus wife will be happy no more smiling the place out with white spirits.
Hello,
ReplyDeleteI bought the DVD last week and watched it yesterday. Nice stuff! Congratulations!! I'm very eager to purchase the "Enamel Weathering Techniques"
Best,
Cadu
Received the DVD yesterday, I live in the States but ordered it from the shop that Mig linked to in this post. I don't speak Spanish so I could not understand the emails I received but no matter, the DVD still arrived! What's more, it was even autographed by Mig himself, thank you!
ReplyDeleteThis video is a treasure trove and I will watch it many times. Mig, I even enjoyed the music you chose, many times such videos have horrendous soundtracks, like electric guitars and other distractions.
Now I am off to find where I can buy some paints!
Greetings from America,
Luke
Hello MIG.
ReplyDeleteI have great interest to your creativity. With pleasure I will watch the new video. My colleagues from Ukraine waiting for the disk and prepare questions for you...
Hello MIG.
ReplyDeleteI have long been watching thy works.I await with great interest the appearance of your DVD in Ukraine. In our country many people are fond of models. You give new technology of color and weathering. This excellent and interesting.
P.S
Sorry for my english
Hello, from America. I received my DVD from the shop that you suggested. I love it. The only suggestion I have is a complete material list. While watching the DVD I still found items that were not in the booklet. Also, it would have been nice to get an autographed copy, as well. Oh well...
ReplyDeleteHello Mig, just wanted to say that I just finished watching your DVD and it's great.
ReplyDeleteI love the DVD and Vallejo products but not too crazy about AK Interactive and the way they handled my order for the DVD.
Hey will there be a second DVD on weathering with Vallejo products?
Howard. You make me worry about what happened with your order. Can you explain me please?
ReplyDeleteOf course, thanks for your comment and for posting.
MIG
Well Mig,
ReplyDeleteHere's what happened:
First- I paid for UPS delivery and they sent it via regular mail.
Second- I instructed them to send to my shipping address (It's even printed on the invoice) annd they sent it to my home address. The problem is that in my apartment building, I have trouble receiving packages (other than regular mail).
If it's a large envelope or boxes, it's a nightmare. That's why I got me a box at a UPS Store, they receive packages and sign for them, then notify me when I get a package.
It works well.
I tell you, not very happy with AK right now.
Howard
